Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe

Your Ugandan adventure begins with arrival at Entebbe International Airport. A representative will greet you and transfer you to your hotel in a quiet, green suburb of Entebbe. Enjoy a relaxing evening and prepare for the days ahead.

Day 2: Drive to Kibale Forest

After breakfast, depart by 4×4 safari vehicle through beautiful countryside to Fort Portal, the cultural heartland of western Uganda. Continue to Kibale Forest, home to 13 species of primates. Arrive at your lodge in time for an evening nature walk or relaxation.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Tracking & Bigodi Swamp Walk

Early morning, head into Kibale National Park for chimpanzee tracking. With an expert guide, walk through lush rainforest to locate and observe these intelligent primates up close. In the afternoon, take a guided walk through Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, rich in birds and monkeys.

Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Today’s drive takes you south past crater lakes to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Settle into your lodge near the northern sector of the park. In the late afternoon, enjoy a short game drive to spot elephants, warthogs, and antelope species.

Day 5: Game Drive & Boat Safari

Start your day with a sunrise game drive in the Kasenyi plains—prime lion and leopard territory. After lunch, embark on a two-hour boat safari on the Kazinga Channel, famous for its concentration of hippos, crocodiles, buffalo, and waterbirds.

Day 6: Ishasha Sector to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

After breakfast, head to the southern Ishasha sector, known for its tree-climbing lions. With luck, you’ll spot them lounging in fig trees. Continue through remote landscapes to the edge of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Settle in for the night amid misty hills.

Day 7: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

Today is the highlight—gorilla trekking. After a briefing, you’ll hike through the dense forest to track a gorilla family. The trek can be challenging but rewarding, and spending an hour with these gentle giants is an emotional and life-changing experience. Return to the lodge for a hot shower and well-deserved rest.

Day 8: Lake Bunyonyi – The Lake of a Thousand Islands

Depart Bwindi and travel to Lake Bunyonyi, one of the most beautiful lakes in Africa. Spend the afternoon canoeing, swimming, or simply enjoying the view from your hilltop lodge. The lake is bilharzia-free and safe for swimming.

Day 9: Return to Entebbe & Departure
