Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Windhoek – Namibia’s Capital Welcome
Land at Hosea Kutako International Airport and transfer to your charming guesthouse in Windhoek. Depending on your arrival time, explore local sights like the Christuskirche or Independence Memorial Museum. Enjoy a relaxing evening dinner in town.
Day 2: Drive to Sossusvlei – Enter the Namib Desert
Head south toward the Namib-Naukluft National Park. The scenic drive showcases changing terrain as you arrive near Sesriem. Check into a welcoming desert lodge. Enjoy a sunset from nearby dunes and rest up for an early start tomorrow.
Day 3: Explore Sossusvlei & Deadvlei – Sand Dunes & Salt Pans
Wake before dawn for a guided excursion to see the sun rise over the famed red dunes. Walk among ancient camelthorn trees in Deadvlei and visit the Sesriem Canyon. Return to the lodge for a cool-off swim and optional afternoon desert walk or scenic sundowner.
Day 4: To Swakopmund – Dunes to Sea
